    Adam Street’s blog

I have currently been working with the EndoCare team for six months now, during which time I have gained a lot of experience in the field of business administration because of the resources and training that EndoCare has kindly gave me. This experience has been very enjoyable for me and I have had a great tutor in Lois Winter to help guide, nurture and refine my skills.

My journey started when I was at college in Tower Hamlets doing an NVQ level 2 business administration course. To complete this course a practical work based section had to completed, Michael was kind enough to give me this fantastic opportunity within his prestigious organisation and employed me on full time on a basis to allow me to further my education. I will commence NVQ level 3 at Westminster College in August this year.

My main role at EndoCare is as part of the support team at head office; we handle everything on the non-clinical side in the development of the business. My initial responsibility was to compile an operations and maintenance manual for our newly established Richmond branch which gave me a huge insight into the day-to-day requirements of an endodontics practice. The Head Office is just off Marylebone High Street and I love the versatility of the area.

My responsibilities also include locating venues for our team building exercises.  On the way to view a venue, I met the assistant manager of the England soccer aid team James Corden!  As I am a very keen follower of football this was a real bonus! Later after our meeting we decided to go for a drink at the 1888 Inn, where I also met Amy Winehouse.  Only yesterday I bumped into Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Working here certainly has its perks!

Recently Michael sent me on a Sage accounts course, so this last week has been all about putting my training into practice. I have been updating our accounts, inputting cheques, invoices and reconciling the accounts; all a new and challenging skills for me.

As you may have gathered, meeting James was a real treat for me . I am family orientated and I love spending time with my friends going out to gigs and festivals. I’m a big movie buff and enjoy a wide variety sports, including tennis, rugby, cricket, golf, badminton and basketball.  I am a football fanatic also I believe that football will be coming back this year to its homeland of ENGLAND!
